QUALITY ORB · BROKER CFD EXECUTION

Mark 30 minutes.
Qualify the M10 break.
Retest the boundary on M2.

A simple, deterministic opening-range strategy using completed candles and known prices; no profit outcome is guaranteed.

Which session each market uses

Asia: AUDJPY, USDJPY and GBPJPY. London: EURUSD, GBPUSD and GBPJPY. New York: EURUSD, USDJPY, US30, US500, USTEC, MSFT and NVDA. The range begins at 09:00 Tokyo, 08:00 London or 09:30 New York local time; the New York range is therefore 09:30–10:00. Each market is evaluated independently in its assigned window. Only the strongest same-direction candidate among the three US indices is released per session.

Major-news blocks, fresh quotes, margin, cash-loss limits, valid stops and duplicate protection remain active execution safeguards.

The entry sequence

  1. Build the opening range. Use all wicks from thirty completed M1 candles. Its width must be between 0.5 and 2.5 times the recent M30 median.
  2. Qualify a completed M10 breakout. A BUY closes above the range; a SELL below it. The directional body is at least 50%, the forward wick at most 30%, extension at least 10% of the range, and tick activity at least 1.2 times its recent median.
  3. Demand a fresh M2 boundary retest. Within three M2 candles, price touches the broken range boundary and closes back outside it in the breakout direction. Before retesting, it may not run more than half a range width away.
  4. Confirm session VWAP. BUY requires a close above rising VWAP; SELL requires a close below falling VWAP. VWAP means volume-weighted average price.
  5. Use a fresh executable quote. Bid/ask must remain beyond the boundary. Deterministic IDs prevent duplicate orders after refreshes or restarts.
  6. SL beyond retest structure. Use the pullback extreme with a tick/spread buffer. Round lot size down until potential loss fits the current cash ceiling.
  7. TP at known structure only. The known current-session high or low must offer at least 2R after costs. Fractional and larger R are allowed. If real structure offers less than 2R, do not trade; never invent a projected target.
  8. Manage intraday. Broker SL/TP stay fixed with no automatic breakeven or trailing. Scheduled flattening and all account controls remain active.

Example: entry 104, stop 103 and known target 107 is roughly 3R before costs. The risk tier is a maximum, not a requirement to risk the exact maximum. SELL reverses these relationships.

What the dashboard means

ORB = opening range breakout. M10/M2 = ten/two-minute candles. SL = stop loss. TP = take profit. R = reward divided by initial risk. VWAP = volume-weighted average price. Bid/ask are executable quotes.
